Remember Spain?

Thursday, September 27, 2018

Last year I spent the best time ever in Spain, in Santander. It's a small city with adorable architecture and wonderful views. It was the best week I've had in many years. I had a dream that I went back there so I decided to refresh and edit again some of the pictures - it still surprises me how different my editing is every year.
I hope you enjoy a little throwback.

The ultimate app for vintage looking photos.

Film photography is now popular more than ever - old school looking photos are a great thing to catch our memories into. More and more people buys old cameras to feel this immortal soul of a film roll.
But what if you want to check if it's your cup of tea and don't want to spend money on all this gear?
Of course - your smartphone will come with help. We have such apps as Huji, Gudak of Feica. Sounds familiar? Of course it does.
Because testing apps and softwares is my huge passion, I'm always up to date with all kinds of applications that can make our photography better and more unique using only the phone in our pockets.
These apps I mentioned are really good and if not free - very affordable. I'm never satisfied so I keep searching. Few days ago I found NOMO and my world changed 180 degrees. The app is free and gives you 8 different cameras to use - 2 of them are free of charge and the rest we can buy for $0.99 each. It's the best simulation of film camera I've ever seen. We can choose from Nikon 35 Ti, Toy camera, Fisheye, Ricoh GR21, Polaroid OneStep 2, Olympus mju-II, Lomography LC-A and Fujifilm Instax. Tempting? I hope so!
As a film photography freak I highly recommend checking it out to get the best emulation possible. I compared Instax and Polaroid photos with real films and I was so impressed with similarity.
But what if you're an amateur and you have no idea what I'm talking about?
Keep calm, I come with examples. Enjoy and let me know what you think!

I keep my reality in pictures. Words are not whole when you’re down. Everything is okay but nothing’s good.
It bores me to death. I need to change my meds or therapy.  Not sure which one, probably both. I know I’m monothematic, I really do. But I only have two states - depression and indifference. These are my only states of mind for last 12 years. And of course, I have fun. But the heart stays dry like a raisin. I hate raisins in my cheesecake.

Agata invited me to a question game.  Go and check her wonderful cooking blog out! Thank you so, so much and here are my answers:

1. What would be your perfect place for holidays?

2.  When everything and everyone annoys you…
... I listen to music.

3. Did you see any movie worth watching recently?
I binge watched The Alienist for the second time, does it count?

4. Water - sparkling or still?

5. What makes you cry of laughter?

August in pictures.

Friday, September 7, 2018

For me it's autumn already. When August finished I started to dig pumpkin spice and maple syrup. No matter what they say - I've been waiting for it whole summer. I need to start getting film roll supplies to have both September and October photographed all over. Beware, I'm on autumnal frenzy.
